Alex noble fundraiser

This year, for the first time, the Randwick Warriors have established a dedicated Rugby 7’s programme

Over the last couple of weeks, Randwick Warriors sent teams from the 13’s, 14’s & 15’s to compete in the Alex Noble Rugby 7’s days. The event was put on over 2 Sundays in a row 24th Feb & 3rd of March, see below information regarding Alex Noble & his current situation.

The days were purely a fund raiser for Alex & his family, it was great to see so many clubs (as well as Randwick) help a young Rugby Player out. Our boys competed very well on the field & conducted themselves very nicely off the field with the 13’s boys winning 50% of their games, 14’s won 4 out of 6 games & the 15’s equal first with 4 wins out of 5. Overall some good results across the board which will put us in good stead for later in the year when the State Cup comes around in Rugby 7’s as part of our dedicated 7s programme at the Warriors

MOST IMPORTANTLY THE EVENT RAISED $27K FOR THE FAMILY WHICH WAS GIVEN TO THEM LAST SUNDAY.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kurt Vilo, Tasman Tanner & Vili for coaching the boys and more importantly Paul Whitehouse & Mary-Anne Tanner for putting together & managing the boys during these past few weeks.
